The busy people who throw community events or run venues are slowly feeling "Calendar Fatigue" ... the inevitable exhaustion of posting the same event to many calendars. Come on... it's the year 2011. We should no longer be scratching our heads wondering when to hold that special event, hoping that we're not clashing with another event, and we shouldn't be posting it all over creation. Enough is enough.
This website shows an aggregated view of many local open calendars, listed here. To get your event on the Franklin County Calendar you need to go to one of those websites and post it there. It will be displayed both there, and here. Perfect!

This website is in early stages, but still functions by pulling from eight local community websites, with more coming online this spring. Membership in any of those websites is free, and they all have calendars accessible to the public. Post away!
